• Report policy violations through official channels
• Accept and respect "no" as a complete answer
• Engage in conversations that are constructive and kind
• Maintain a profile that accurately represents who you are

Prohibited Content & Behavior

The following are strictly prohibited on Phoenix Talk:

Illegal Activities

• Promoting, facilitating, or participating in illegal acts
• Sharing content that infringes intellectual property rights
• Engaging in fraud, scams, or deceptive practices

Harassment & Abuse

• Threatening, intimidating, or bullying behavior
• Stalking or persistent unwanted contact after being asked to stop
• Targeted harassment based on identity (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.)
• Doxxing—sharing private information about someone without consent
• Encouraging self-harm or violence

Sexually Graphic Content

• Sharing or requesting intimate images or videos
• Sexual solicitation or prostitution
• Non-consensual intimate content
• Sexualization of minors (anyone under 18)

Misrepresentation

• Using fake profiles or impersonating others
• Stealing photos from the internet or other people
• Lying about age, identity, or relationship status
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans

Spam & Commercial Activity

• Sending unsolicited promotional messages
• Posting links to external commercial sites without context
• Using Phoenix Talk to sell products or services without authorization
• Pump-and-dump schemes or investment scams

Content & Conversation Standards

While Phoenix Talk encourages open conversation, we ask that you:

• Avoid graphic violence: Don't share disturbing or gory content
• Respect privacy: Don't share conversations or media from private conversations without permission
• Don't spam: Avoid repetitive messaging or flooding conversations
• Stay on-topic in group contexts: Respect the purpose of any group conversation
• Don't harass with unwanted messages: If someone isn't interested, respect that

Enforcement & Consequences

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

• Warning: For first-time or minor violations
• Temporary suspension: Loss of account access for a specified period
• Permanent ban: For severe or repeated violations
• Legal reporting: In cases involving illegal activity, we'll cooperate with authorities

Enforcement decisions consider context, history, and severity. We aim to be fair and consistent, but each situation is evaluated individually.

Reporting Violations

If you witness or experience behavior that violates these guidelines:

1. Use the platform's reporting feature on the user's profile or message
2. Provide as much detail as possible—what happened, when, and any relevant context
3. Our team reviews all reports within 24 hours
4. You'll receive notification if action is taken (privacy may limit details shared)
5. For urgent safety concerns, contact local authorities first

False reporting—intentionally filing false reports to harm others—is also a violation and may result in consequences.

Appeals Process

If your account is suspended or banned and you believe it was in error:

• Contact our support team through the appeal process
• Provide a clear, respectful explanation of why you believe the action was mistaken
• Include any relevant context or evidence
• Appeals are reviewed by a different team member than the original decision
• Final decisions are made based on community safety and guideline interpretation

Age & Eligibility Requirements

Phoenix Talk is exclusively for users aged 18 and older. By using our platform, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age. We actively monitor for and remove accounts belonging to minors. If you suspect someone under 18 is using the platform, please report immediately.

Privacy & Consent in Connections

Respecting privacy is fundamental to our community:

• Never share another person's private information without clear permission
• Always obtain consent before recording calls or saving conversations
• Respect requests to stop communication immediately
• Don't pressure for personal details or photos someone isn't comfortable sharing
• Understand that "maybe" or silence means "no"

Creating a Positive Culture

Beyond just avoiding violations, we encourage positive community participation:

• Welcome newcomers and help them feel included
• Call out disrespectful behavior when safe to do so
• Support others who experience harassment
• Share knowledge and resources that help fellow members
